Getting there
Jordan station is on the Tsuen Wan line, with exits along Nathan Road and Jordan Road. Austin station to the west is on the Tuen Ma line, near West Kowloon and Kowloon station (Tung Chung line and Airport Express). Yau Ma Tei is a few minutes' walk north and Tsim Sha Tsui is just south.
Buses and minibuses run along Nathan Road and Jordan Road. Parking is limited and traffic is heavy at peak times, so the MTR is the easier option.
What venues are like here
Jordan has many small and mid-sized commercial buildings and older mixed-use blocks. Venues are mostly meeting rooms, small event spaces, studios, photo studios and mahjong rooms, plus some party rooms. Spaces are small to mid-sized, with fit-outs from practical to polished.
Commercial buildings usually have a management office, and you may need to register at night or on holidays. Older buildings have small lifts and are shared with residents, so noise rules are stricter.
What it's good for
- Meetings and workshops: central and easy to reach from all over Hong Kong.
- Small birthdays and gatherings: plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner afterwards.
- Shoots: old streets and the West Kowloon waterfront make good backdrops alongside an indoor studio.
Compare with nearby Tsim Sha Tsui and Yau Ma Tei.
