Refunds go back to the payment method you originally used. How long a refund takes to appear depends on your bank.
How much is refunded?
- You cancel: it depends on the venue's cancellation policy.
- The host cancels: a full refund.
- Severe weather: when the conditions are met, you may cancel for a full refund. See What happens in a typhoon or rainstorm?
- The venue was seriously not as described: the platform decides the dispute and may refund in part or in full.
When is the security deposit returned?
- If you cancel, the deposit is always returned in full.
- If the booking goes ahead, the deposit is returned about 48 hours after the booking ends, unless the host reports damage, overtime or extra cleaning, with evidence.
