Getting there
Tai Koo station on the Island Line is the main stop, one stop east of Quarry Bay and one stop west of Sai Wan Ho. Station exits connect to the nearby estates and malls, so you barely need to walk outside on a rainy day.
Trams run along King's Road through the area. There are plenty of buses and minibuses, and the Island Eastern Corridor is close by, which makes driving in from elsewhere on the Island fairly direct. Malls and estates usually have car parks, though they are busy at weekends and on holidays. From Tseung Kwan O, change to the Island Line at Quarry Bay and ride one stop east.
The waterfront promenade and Quarry Bay Park are nearby, handy for a walk with children before or after a party.
What venues are like here
The area is dominated by large private housing estates, with some office buildings. Venues are mostly upper-floor units in commercial or mixed-use buildings, with newer fit-outs and a tidy feel, and are usually small to mid-sized.
There are many residents nearby, so keep the volume down at night. Venues inside office buildings may require registration at weekends and at night.
